3 More Excellent Lead Vocals

We started with a listening session:

First we did the final lead vocal! (Andy had been worrying about the lyrics - unduly in my opinion - but had sorted them out to his satisfaction). Warm sound:

Then we started on re-doing lead vocals that we are not happy with. One song is still a bit of a problem - Andy is not feeling the clubbiness he is wanting to feel - and we are working with Vince on changing the bass. Otherwise everything went swimmingly :-). Another very productive day. After Andy left I edited one of the vocals, and then to early night. Pilates in the morning!

Looks so warm and inviting with the soft light and the fireplace! Wish I could sit there on the couch and listen to you guys working. Tell Andy I am in love with him! :)

Is the pilates working for you? My mum also had major issues with her back, and started pilates after countless scans and other "medical" stuff. Turned out her core muscles were weak. Now she's a super ninja fitness momma with no hint of pain.

Gareth, I've always been a big fan of your production work, as well as a bit of an Erasure nerd. Seeing the behind the scenes stuff makes me appreciate the final product so much more.

Hello from Seattle,

I've had the best time enjoying this intimate view of you and the boys making the next best album. Thanks so much for sharing.

I chuckled at Andy's take on his time in Maine. I had the same experience when moving to Seattle from Manhattan. It was a little jarring to have people say hello to me on the street, and I too have to adjust when visiting.

Thanks again for this. It will make the next album even more dear after watching it being made.

Hi Gareth! I know you couldn't post my mix link, I completely understand. But I just wanted to let you know that an even newer mix is up, much lighter this time around, and I do think Andy would so adore it...so when he's got some time off from all this hectic, please give him my link and send a hug his way.

what software is Andy using in that photo? is it Ableton, or something else?

(sorry, just being a synth-nerd here...)
